The post from the home.

Though work is busy these past few days, what with the new year and all the visitors coming to the Museum, yet I still managed to leave the country last night and take an aditional day off (?) from work and from New York.
Yes, I'm now sitting by the brand new Hewlet Packard computer that my parents purchased several weeks ago. It even has Windows Vista... Pretty cool.
Anyways, I'm home in Montreal. I got a lift in last night and slept a bit this morning. I needed to come into town and leave everything behind so suddenly, because I had'tu'du renew my passport for a trip that I will be taking in the not so distant future.
Yes, the wife, myself and Kovi are going to... Some place for Shabbos soon.

Anyways, I hate making Ayin Horah's and so I will not continue elaborating on details. But as things develop, you will be notified about it. most probably this blog will be one of the first to be informed about what's happening (Sorry Zak, but yamlive comes after this blog. ALWAYS!)

I'm leaving back to Crown Heights tomorrow. I have Museum and teaching. YAY!
Meanwhile, the passport is going to be ready in another week.

We'll see what happens.

Ciao!

Something that tix me off. Shlichus!

The following post in in reference to this article...

Anyways, I read the article and got very upset at collive Bichlal for publishing all this controversy. Why do they need to put such a thing out??!! But more importantly, I was angry with the whole concept of Shlichus and how it's defined.
No! I will not even try and give you the definitions of what is or what isn't a Shliach. But I will only vent out my frustration in this post.

There! I vented.

I saw a post about Shlichus the other day. Oh wait! It was from my wife's totally awesomely new (pink) blog... Teehee.
Anyways, she posted about the whole idea of going out on Shlichus when you don't actually do what's expected of you... Trying to figure out what we can compare such a mission to. It was very interesting, reading all the comments on it. Some compared it to a job, where regardless of your emotional Hergeishim to the job, if you don't actually do the job expected of you, then you are not worthy of working for it. Others compared it to parenthood where, if you really mean what you are doing, then even if you're not the perfect parent and you make mistakes. But you are doing the best you could... And that's what the Shliach is.

I just need someone to properly publicize what exactly it is that make sa person a Shliach of the Rebbe.
Is it the actual spreading of Yiddishkeit that makes you a Shliach?
Is it the letter from the Rebbe - or in this case, the email from Rabbi Kotlarsky - Which gives you the incredible title of Shliach?
Is it the Alef that you teach to your business associates which make you a Shliach??
Is it just the dedication of your whole life to a cause greater than yourself which makes you a Shliach?

I'm not sure.

I think that there is a difference between doing the Rebbe's Shlichus and actually being a Shliach. Both are very important, yet so apart and unconnected.

A Rabbi living in India who was not sent by Merkos, just may be doing the work and Shlichus that the Rebbe wanted, but is he a SHLIACH??

Hmmm. Comments?

An article taken from Yamlive.blogspot.com.

I don't know the author of this post. But he's got it right on! BING!

Dear U.N., E.U. and all other Anti-Semitic organizations out there.

Speaking for Israel and Jews all over, I would like to express my sincerest apologies. For it appears to me that we have upset you, for we had the audacity to defend ourselves against the Arab murderers who are only trying to do what you want them to do, namely kill us all. Now I know this must be hard to accept, I mean for years now your organizations have been working tirelessly around the clock to attain world peace. By world peace I of course mean a world without an Israel in it. I'm sure it kills you every year when you receive a new globe for your desk with all the new countries, and you still see a tiny Israel there.

How dare we continue to exist? When the world clearly does not want us around. I can bring you proof of that fact by listing thousands of incidents throughout history in which the Jews were killed mercilessly for no reason other then being Jewish. But I won’t since that is too much to type, so instead I’ll bring you the past few months. For the past few months, day after day, rockets continuously land in Jewish towns; on schools, nurseries, prayer halls and many other such "military locations".

Yet for some reason the U.N., E.U. or any other international committee haven't even had a thought about mentioning the rockets, forget about condemning them. But lo and behold when after the Jewish Sabbath I look online for the news and what do I see? Israel had the Chutzpa to defend itself. How dare we? Who are we, as a country to even think about it? To try and stop a peaceful people living in Gaza, (which by the way in an election, practically unanimously voted in a terrorist organization in as government) from their lifelong dream of driving my people into the sea? How dare we?

Thankfully, you in the U.N., E.U., BBC. CNN, and all other Anti-Semitic organizations out there, didn't let us down. Why in a matter of minutes you were out and condemning Israel's "aggression" and "unprovoked" attack against "innocent Palestinians". Your responses were amazing and expected, considering your well-known rabid hatred for Jews. Immediately condemning us, and demanding that we stop immediately, and yet you somehow forgot that just last week in one day over a hundred rockets landed in Israel.

The fact that your average Jew living in Israel has friends who have no parents, buried siblings, are missing limbs, or traumatized for life due to the peaceful Arabs, you couldn't care less about that. But the second we fight back, a nation which is well known for letting others kill us while we give them the money and weapons which with to do so, you world out there go crazy and condemn us to the hottest fires hell has to offer.Well in that case,

What I have to say to all you Jew hatters out there is SCREW YOU AND DROP DEAD. Because for the first time in many years I am actually proud of Israel and what they are doing, and to them I say, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK BECAUSE ENOUGH IS ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!

Mashmo'us of words...alestinian

So I was reading a report from Reuters about the whole situation in Gaza. Here is a art of their article:
"I kept my children at home. No need to study today," one Palestinian parent said.

You can check it out for yourself here.

Anyways, anyone who learned the slightest bit of Gemarah and thinks properly can discern what that means... There is no need to study today... Why would there be 'no need' to study today?? Obviously that Palestinian woman is directly connecting what the children learn to what's going on in Gaza.
What she is in reality saying, is that in the Palestinian schools they are studying about the Israeli atrocities against the poor Palestinian suffering people... The horrible Israeli's are always killing Palestinian refugees just for fun. So on this day, where the children can look outside their windows and see for themselves the destruction caused is the best studying experience they can get. There is no need to study on this day. Everything they've been taught in their corrupt school system is being proven in front of their own eyes...

Horrific!

Motzaei Shabbos in this world.

i
Hmmmm, if this world isn't changing, then my mind is slowly melting away.

Obama wins.
Stock market crashes.
Mumbai terror attack.
Chabad of the five towns accident... What more??

Some inspiring and upsetting thoughts that I had in recent days...

1) Sitting at the "chanukah live" event in 770 with my fifth grade Oholei Torah class was incredible. As disorganized as it was, just to be in a room, watching about ten thousand children from all across the globe - literally - chanting the 12 Pesukim was tearfully inspiring for me. You sort of just waited for the Rebbe to walk out and up to his Bimah and begin a Sicha for all the children. If that couldn't do it, then there's not much else that can.
2) During the live broadcast, they showed pre-recorded footage of the Mumbai Chanukah lighting. You know, the one where Rabbi Nachman Holtzberg is lighting the huge Menorah in front of the Chabad house... Anyways, I almost broke down crying while he was reciting the blessing She'oso Nissim La'avoseinu... Just wracking my brains trying to figure out what he was thinking while praising Hashem for making miracles for our fathers in those days and in these times... I'm sure Moisheleh crossed his mind. But what about his son and daughter in law who were so brutally and cruelly murdered?? I don't know.
3) There in the five towns, in the middle of a rally celebrating Jewish freedom. On the holiday that goodness triumphs over evil. Sitting and watching the live Chanukah live broadast, where thousands of people were connected with such brotherly love... And Hashem has to make such a tragedy unfold. It rips my heart out of my chest when I think about it. If it had to happen, why not a different, less important time?? Ahavas Yisroel at it's peak. The most peaceful and bright holiday we have... And a vehicle has to ram into the building full of children and injure so many?? Why??

But then we hear good news... Israel fights back. Finally they attack those terrorists. Yes TERRORISTS!! Not millitants or Palestinian refugees. almost 1000 of them. Meanwhile, Israel is still standing up for their moral obligation of protecting their citizens... Let's see what they say when pressure builds. Please hang in there and don't stop!!!
And then we read about 250 dead and 700 injured... Sounds good. But somewhere deep down, my mind is telling me that when all the smoke settles, and they realize that the actual number of casualties is more like 4 or 5 (Like by Jenin), the media will be gone and nobody will hear that 'good news'.
Gosh! I hope 250 were killed and 700 were injured. I hope the reports that the Arab doctors are giving out are genuine and true.

Good Riddance (How is that spelled?).

In other news, this week is a big 'vacation' week for many. Unfortunately not for me. Holiday vacations mean the Museum filling up with Jewish visitors who have nothing else to do with their kids...
It's like I finally have 2 days of freedom from Oholei Torah and the museum comes along and gives me like a thousand game shows.
Why can't I just make money without working??!!!

A Gutt Voch! A Gutten Chodesh! A Freilichen Chanukah!

Oh! Kovi is adorable Kein Ayin Horah!!

No vacation for me.

I have no vacation time this year.
Oholei Torah is over for the next couple of days. But whatever I lack in Oholei Torah, is filled in by the museum's busy holiday schedule.
The wife wants to start her own blog... Yippee!! Obviously she can continue with this one. I'm just saying that it's cool to know that she might have her own. That's all I'm trying to say...

Anyways, I have to go out and do the game show. Perhaps I'll update on some stuff latrer on at home.

This is going a round in emails.

I started watching it but thought it was corny, so I turned it off. Then, when I saw it in another two emails I figured there was something worth watching. It's very worth it. You have to watch all of it. The beginning is cheesy, but it's really cute and funny!!

Happy Chanukah!

My brother Zvi would absolutely love this song!!!

A song which I think Zvi might like. It's one of his better singers... Oh yes. It's Matisyahu!

Newly updated video of Kovi playing piano!!

Posting on a random Thursday night @ home.

This is a random Thursday (as you've probably figured out, supposing you glanced at the heading above before reading this garrrrbage!) and I'm posting on it. I am posting on a Thursday you might say.

Here are some snaps of Kovi relatively recent.

He is KA"H so cute.

Yesterday was the first time he ever really walked on two feet. He took a chair and began pushing it across the room, catching up to it with his feet. It was adorable and we recorded it for future memories in the nursing home (with Moshiach)

The first picture is the nightmare of every dad. The dearestest wife on earth figured that it was a cold day, so without my realizing it, she casually puts tights on Kovi and then conceals the feminine attire with his usual pajamas and goes about with her usual day!!
Little did she know that I was the one undressing him towards the evening for his diaper change. How shocked was I, when I found those atrocious womens garments delicately protecting his legs. My son??!! My manly son??!! My rough and tough, take 'em all down little masculine boy wearing tights?? This was too much!!
Infuriated and desperate to keep him from getting too mushy and slowly slipping into the dark side of fiminism, I quickly made him eat a whole load of his poop! It wasn't easy. But we must do what we must do to keep men as they should be: MEN!

The other pictures at cute ones of his. Oh! And one of them you can even see his teeth. Though the teeth are even bigger than that now. He's such a big kid B"H, KA"H, BLA"H, Poo Poo Poo!

Kovi finally started walking. With help. Check it out!

Kovi videos and his musical talents!!

Kovi drumming and...

Kovi playing the piano.

Quite musical.

And "I wunt freedom to Bubby"

Sunday, December 14, 2008

Some thoughts...

So here goes:

1 - The Torah is an absolutely truth. It's the most peaceful book in the world, bringing absolute goodness and peace to humanity. Yet, we see massive controversial statements and laws with regard to Jews and gentiles. Someone learning the Torah may understand it to be totally biased and racist with regard to non-Jews. To an extent, where it seems as if the Jew is considered a human being, while the gentile is considered and comparable with beasts of the land.
If one kills a Jew, then he must be killed. Yet, if a gentile is brutally murdered, then NU! NU!! As they would say in yiddish "Nisht Geferlech"!

How is that possible??

I think that the answer lies in the standards that are set.
Us as human beings without the Torah naturally consider ourselves to be perfect and the elite of humanity.
In that respect, it makes no difference what religion or culture a person associates himself with. As long as he is part of the human race, he is just as equal as everybody else.
It doesn't matter whether you are Jewish, Hindu, Muslim, Christian or anything else... You are a human, you must be treated and respected the same as everyone else.

In ancient times, there were differences between everyone. The whole notion of equality is 'more or less' of modern ideology.
Way back in the day, if someone so much as thought differently of my opinion, then I would no doubt cut off his head. He was different than me, and he therefore wasn't as special as me. So he may be killed.

It went with color too. Yes, there once was a theory which used to say that indeed humans are equal. But what if they're of a different color? Then they are not on the same elite plain as us 'humans'. They are beneath us and therefore, we may deal with them as we wish.
If we want to use them as slaves, then we can.
If we want to torture them and harm them, then we can.
We can do whatever we wish with these 'colored' folks. They are not as special as we are.

Over time, things evolved into this modern concept of every single creature that walks on two feet and can speak a language is equal and needs to be treated with respect. It's an amazing concept... Colored people are treated equally. Women are treated with equal rights. It makes the world so peaceful and beautiful. Doesn't it??
In that case, how is it possible that the "Torah of truth" doesn't address this idea when it was given 2 thousand something years ago??!! Not only that, but it even gives a biased and seemingly racist opinion with regard to "non Jews"!!

The audacity!!

Answer is being thought upon and I have a game show to do... Someone help.
I will attempt to answer this. I thought of this lots over Shabbos!!

I don't have a complete answer, but I think I know the path to the answer.

Still to come after these messages...

HEEEREEEEE'SSSSS DOOOVVVIIIIDD!!!...

Thanks. I was just wondering I guess!

OOOh!!! Well, I think the answer would be a resounsing NO!

No. Read the heading. I clearly wrote life!! You know I have a wife! Right?

Wife or life??

Do I have a life??

Friday afternoon. Alone again!

So here I am in good ole' Montreal, blessed by Hashem with the memories of my childhood years. Yes, how can I forget. Those winter days, when there was so much snow outside, that just to cross the street to get some apples from 'Rocky Montana fruit store' was a whole Gesheft. We wanted to be driven to the fruit store door, because it was so cold and bitter outside.
Well, today is no different. The only people who believe in global warming are probably living in Miami beach and the likes. I'd bet that every Montrealer vehemently opposes the theories of global warming... hashem had given us this huge snow storm today.
I drove in to Montreal and it was hard. It took me ten hours to get here instead of 6. That's because I needed to drive at 45 MPH half the way. It was snowing and I was sliding. I saw one huge accident on the way - Firetrucks, ambulances, police and all. It was sad. It made me drive even slower.

And so here I am, inside the room that I grew up in. It's cold outside. There's about 20cm of snow out on the street. My car was parked there this morning and I couldn't get it out this afternoon already. It was stuck in the snow. Good thing I won't need it until tomorrow night, when I return to NY.
Ready for Shabbos though!!!

BTW, there's an incredible song composed by a buddy of mine... Moshe Hecht. He calls himself Moshe and you've just got to hear the music that he makes. Here's his facebook page with 2 songs. But that's not all... There's more!... Here is his song for the Shluchim brutally murdered in the name of Yiddishket. Incredible!

Good Shabbos!

All alone!

First off, I'd like to share an incredible line that I found on 'someone else's' blawg:

Sometimes, it's the attack that terrorizes me.
And sometimes, it's the terror that attacks me.

...

Tonight I thought that I would get to experience single life again. But I was shown wrong.
The wife and child flew to Italy today for a friends wedding. Unfotunately, I was unable to go with, so I stayed here in New York.
As sad as I was about the whole ordeal, I figured that the experience of being single again for a weekend would be sorta' cool.

It is not cool.

I miss two very important people in my life right now.

Is it as if nothing ever happened? No. Kovi's proof. Whatever.

Ooooooh! Benny's getting mushy now!

... Alright!! Straighten up Benoit!! People are going to be reading this and you can't seem mushy or vulnerable at all in front of them!! This is not the image that you want them to look at you with... F'weal!

...

The world is turning over anyways. I am making absolutely no sense at all in this.

Inside me makes no sense... Hey! That makes sense.

Young Energy Magnate Promises 'Taking Care of Chabad A Priority'

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL -- (December 9, 2008)
EJ Tansky
(lubavitch.com) Shattered by the murders in Mumbai, one energy magnate is picking up the pieces by making a significant contribution to a Florida Chabad center.

Rabbi Moshe Meir Lipszyc announced today that Guma L. Aguiar, co-founder of Leor Energy, an oil exploration and production company based in East Texas, contributed an additional half million dollars to Chabad Lubavitch of Fort Lauderdale. The center will be renamed “The Guma Aguiar Family Campus.”

“Guma has a heart of gold,” said Rabbi Lipszyc. In recent years, he's funded much of Chabad of Ft. Lauderdale's dynamic growth. "He's now agreed to make his most recent contribution public because he wants to show the world that this is how Chabad responds to the oppressive darkness of terrorism, by taking action and growing.”

Aguiar, 31, told Lubavitch.com that, like the rest of the world, he was stunned by the news of the terror attacks in India. Groping for answers, Aguiar considered Chabad’s place in the world.

“Chabad, by definition, is right there, on the front lines, helping Jews.”

Guma L. Aguiar, co-founder of Leor Energy, an oil exploration and production company based in East Texas, contributed an additional half million dollars to Chabad Lubavitch of Fort Lauderdale.

Just five years ago, Aguiar encountered Chabad’s kindness personally. Born Jewish and raised by parents who accepted a different faith, Aguiar knew little of his Jewish heritage until he and a few friends stepped into Chabad of Fort Lauderdale one Friday evening.

Rabbi Moshe Meir Lipszyc, executive director of Chabad of Fort Lauderdale, welcomed Aguiar and his buddies to share Sabbath dinner at the Lipszyc family home. Aguiar was surprised by the invitation.

“This was before my success. I had never been to an orthodox synagogue before, and yet Rabbi Moshe Meir went out of his way to be there for me, with warmth, never being pushy,” Aguiar said.

Aguiar and his family have since grown in their commitment to Judaism. Aguiar studies Torah regularly, and has keen interest in Chabad Chasidic texts that explore the mystical aspects of Judaism. Last month, he and wife Jamie Aguiar celebrated the circumcision of their newborn son at Chabad.

“I am proud to say that I consider a great deal of my financial success a by-product of my relationship with Chabad and an outgrowth of my religious journey,” said Aguiar. Shortly before the market went into a tailspin, EnCana Corp. purchased Leor Energy’s natural gas and land holdings in East Texas for $2.5 billion. “I feel G-d was looking out for me,” said Aguiar, who felt compelled to give back.

Chabad of Fort Lauderdale plans to utilize the funds to expand its popular programs for children and adults. In Fort Lauderdale, Chabad runs additional three satellite branches in Las Olas, Lauderdale by the Sea and Harbor Beach, as well as the Filstein-Martin Torah Academy, and Sasson-Ovadia Hebrew School. A Friendship Circle Program will be opening in Harbor Beach this year. This September, Chabad extended its Mommy and Me and Bagel Babies programs into a preschool, Ganeinu. The center also hosts a branch of the Rohr Family Jewish Learning Institute and operates a mikvah and café.

Aguiar, a pacesetter in the oil and energy world would like others to follow him in this philanthropic venture. “I encourage everyone to get involved in supporting their local Chabad center and the worldwide Lubavitch Headquarters. The Jewish people need to understand that taking care of Chabad should be a priority.”

...

Rabbi Shua and Bashie Naparstek happen to be Shluchim in Harbor Beach, Florida under Rabbi Lipsyc... Baruch Hashem. May their Shlichus only grow bigger and better.

The link to the rumor.

As previously posted, the Kleusenberg Rebbe foretold the India attacks and indicated it as a sign of Moshiach's coming.
Well, it was a good thing that I pre-exempted myself from it being false and baseless. But I found out that it is not totally made up. In fact, col.org.il confirmed the reports.

It was the major Kleusenberg Rebbe who was very close to our Rebbe. In fact, he said that without the Lubavicher Rebbe, he cannot live in this world. Indeed, four days after Gimmel Tammuz, this holy Rebbe left the world as well.

Anyways, in 5742, he gave this Sicha (Here for the Sicha transcript) and said that Moshiach times will come when one Jew in India will make the whole world tremble, wondering if he's alive or not.

Pretty amazing. Ay?

Finally... The song!

The words are like so:

Six years, dedicated over to you.
A Chabad House in India for every Jew
Warm hearts and smiles, given to all,
Shluchim heeding to the Rebbe’s call.

Our minds left numb, can’t figure it out.
Our hearts so torn, we scream and shout.
A two year old boy now left orphaned
You’re supposed to watch over them.

With “Tracht gut - zain gut” we did go.
Is this out of the rule book, like a summer’s snow?

Do we stop? Do we let the terrorists win?
Or perhaps we get together start it again…

Do we increase what they were doing double as much?
Ad Mosai??… Enough is enough!!!

Chorus: Oh Rebbe Show me, tell me why
Your Shluchim, so given over needed to die.
Their blood – Our wounds heal and mend
Please Rebbe, make it end.

They will shoot, they will kill and they will darken night
But we’ll never stop marching forward, spreading your light.
Till the corners of the world will shout as one.
Times up! Let Moshiach come!!

Yiddishkeit will explode, in their memories sake.
We will move, we will build whatever it takes.
Though we mourn and we cry, with so much pain.
Their Neshamos won’t have gone in vain…

And very soon we will understand -
when every Chabad house is taken to the Promised Land.
The Shofar will blow, Moshiach is here.
The Rebbe standing with his Shluchim oh so dear.
Attached to 770, a building so high
THE NARIMAN HOUSE, COLABA, MUMBAI!!

...

Just a song that came to me recently.
Right after hearing the news that the Chabad House was cleared by the Indian commando's, but the Shluchim hadn't made it out alive, I sat down with the guitar and this tune came to me.
It's quick. It's upset. It's angry... But it's full of optimistic resolution to go stronger and stronger... I hope.

The words I worked on on Motzaei Shabbos and Sunday. I want to professionally record it. But... Where to go I dunno' and I also need to dough!

Beautiful song, by Yossi Green and Ohan. It's dedicated to Shluchim, which is absolutely beautiful!

Don't know how legit this is, but I heard that the Jewish world is in a frenzy after finding out that several months or weeks ago, the Klausenberg Rebbe said at a Tish the "Moshiach times is when one Jew in India makes the entire world tremble!"
Apparently the Chassidim thought that he was getting old and slightly senile. But now, things look very different.
I couldn't find anything about it online. Again, it was a rumor someone told me that sounds incredible.

Just think about how every single corner of the world trembled at the news of two young Jewish figures, under the age of 30 who were killed in some building in India. Literally every corner of the world!!
Is this not Moshiach times??
It better be, or else I'm going to be P****D!

Video that made me cry... Again!

My Diary... 5 Kislev, 2008.

My day barely even began. It's only 9:45am. But I just want to share the feelings going on inside me now.

5:30am I woke up, got dressed and went to Lubavich Yeshiva on Albany to gather with everyone together, watching the Levaya of two of the holiest souls that lived in this world of late.
When I got there, the room was already packed. Collive claims that there were 2000 people there in total. I did not see the women's side, but probably 6 to 700 men were for sure there. I don't know... Just my opinion. But it sounded good nonetheless.
Watched the Levaya. There were times where the entire room just erupted in sobs. Emotions were so tender and raw at this gathering. Something I've never ever experienced. It was Mamosh like it was a Levaya of our closest friend, brother and sister (Chas Veshalom). Open weeping towards the end.

But the point of this article is just to make mention of some memorable and incredible things that were said or that happened there in Kfar Chabad, Israel.

Rabbi Metzger: Broke down crying at certain parts. He said was incredible thing. He spoke about how the picture of the Rebbe fell from the wall, but stayed complete. Using that as a metaphor to what happened to Chabad. The 'picture' of the Rebbe falls, yet he remains complete and undamaged in any way!

Rabbi Shemtov
: Read a letter of condolence to the families from President George and Laura Bush. Then went on to speak about how Chabad will build bigger and greater.

Rabbi Lau
: Told the story of Pharao'h princess daughter Batya going into the inferno to save a young boy Moshe. Moshe was floating on the very river which was meant to drown the Jewish boys, floating and surrounded by death and distruction, yet Batya came and saved his life. Comparing That story to Sandra Samuel, the heroic nanny who grabbed Moishe'le from the hell and saved his life as well

Rabbi Rosenberg
: Was by far the most emotionally challenging speaker. Being the father of Rivka, he had everyone sobbing uncontrolably in the room. He was crying, speaking of how Moishe'le will grow up to be the Shliach of Mumbai. He was crying and we all were crying, when he spoke of how amazing it was to see what the Holzberg couple accomplished in this year of Hakhel... Bringing together so many thousands of Yidden with such Ahavas Yisroel. We all were crying when he declared Shlucho Shel Odom Kemoso!, how the blood that was spilled is the Rebbe's blood!!!

Rabbi Holzberg... Gabi's father: Didn't really speak. But we all burst out crying, when he got up to the mic and told everyone in Yiddish how thankful he was to Hashem for giving him such a son, who was given the merit of dying Al Kiddush Hashem and inspiring so many.
His Bracha Dayan Haemes was unforgettable. He began the Brocho clear and loud, but when he came to the last two words, Dayan Haemes he shouted it out into the microphone with all his might. It shook everyone in the room to the core.

all in all, I'm ready for another day.

But real quick, here's what I have to say about it: If the terrorists are giving that much of themselves to destroy the world, then we will give just as much to build and brighten it.
I wish to strap myself up with explosives of goodness and kindness. In blind faith, I am ready to step into the most crowded markets and darkest places, when I will then proceed to detonate this "goodness bomb"! A bomb which will bring smiles and happiness to anyone who dares to look into it.
I will smile at everyone.
I will say good morning to everyone.
I will care more about my fellow Jew. Even if I don't give change to the Russian man who lingers in 770 asking for loose change. I will nonetheless smile at him and wish him a wonderful day. And mean it!
I will try to spread as much light of goodness as I can.

I will be a Goodness terrorist!!

Go to sleep, child!

Cease your incessant poring over articles. Stop thinking about it. Mumbai is miles away. You need to continue your life and not get stuck on what happened. Yes, I know it was a horrendous tragedy beyond words, beyond thoughts, beyond all-but you need to move on. You need to take something positive from this and carry on their holy work--not obsess over the terror.

Go to sleep, child.

Let go of the tension, the nerves, the anxiety. Stop avoiding the room you spent all of Thursday night and Friday morning, in. Don't bring in "India" to every conversation. Let it go. Think about other things. There's a whole world out there.

Go to sleep, child.

Build yourself up. Strengthen yourself. Let love take the place of hate. Let care take the place of evil. Focus not on their bad deeds; let your goal be a purely positive one.

Go to sleep, child.

Go, with free will.
