RaZaG?? or RaZag!!

The issue has come up once again... You know the reason. There are sparks flying once again. Will he, or will he not attend the grand wedding celebration in the RaZaG Ballroom this coming summer??

I'm actually enjoying it all. It gives me entertaining memories of days gone by, when all we ever did, was get the trash-talk from both sides of the table. Listen to garbage from this side (that was always in Yiddish. Remember?), then have to hear it from her, then we would hear it from the other side in French and Arabic (Let's not go there). And so goes the circle of life...

The Svoreh is, if the Rebbe insituted B.R. then how can someone so brazenly go ahead and open another school, claiming that the "Rebbe's-A-Mosed" is a failure. For that reason, the new RaZag ballroom is being 'boycotted' by those devoted Chassidim and by policy, they will never step foot inside.
Now, just a few quick things that were running through my head when I heard all this while eating my spaghetti and cheese last night.
First of all, Who the heck cares??!! What's the difference WHY it's there? It's there!! and there's an important Pe'Ulah happening with your Ba'al Habos!!!! Go to the damn wedding and stop bickering!! Would the Rebbe say "Don't step foot into that building! It should be boycotted by all! It goes against my own school, which... look at the reality, is falling apart!!" What is happening here is 100% unneccessary, childish and will definitely not bring anything good. But, on the other hand, if the wedding is attended. Who knows, perhaps some good may come out of it. GOSH it bloaws my mind!!
Second of all, why don't people deal with situations that come up by looking at themselves?? If you own a store and all of a sudden someone else wants to open up competition. Why should you go around trying to put down the others, if you can just enhance your own business. Fix the problem you had which made them open up in the first place!
Why make such a big racket and get so much attention by screaming at a new school which opened up? Why don't you make the same noise... But do it, trying to figure out how to fix the problems with the old school!! The only answer to that is, fixing the problem is not the issue! They don't care about the system and what it is supposed to be like. All they're interested in, is to have everybody look at them and go "AAhhh, Look at these big voices in Lubavich."
If the Rebbe has to be brought into their childish claims, then by all means, bring him in. It will only enhance their argument by bringing "the Rebbe" to their defense. Now it's the Rebbe and all his avid "voices of Lubavich" supporters and Chassidim, against those horrible terroristical Lubavicher people who opened up a "new," much more successful and Chassidish school!! ...GROW UP and screw it all. Just do what you have to do!!

I'm just rambling away. It really ticked me off last night listening to some of the extreme views and parabels which were brought and I'm venting!

Children fight and bicker together. Adults ignore it all and just try to live together!

When the Goyim will speak about Moshiach...

Check out this cool klip found on youtube... It shows just how big Matisyahu is. In a Chassidishe Oifen, it also shown how even the Goyim are singing about Moshiach.

Ontherun84... Why the name change??!!

Why am I on the run? Why do I try to stay hidden away from the public? How stupid can I be, trying to stay away from the public, but putting my information and feelings (or lack thereof) on a blog, where everyone can easily view me? The answer is, I don't know!
This blog is for friends, family and any other unknown human folk, just as long as they don't carry guns or knives and don't like German propaganda books.
But, there are some wonderful people out there who, even though they're really nice and all, I would still never want them to access my blog and see it. I will leave it up to all my welcomed viewers imaginations as to whom I wouldn't want looking at my blog. But it has to do with tonight, someone walking into the room while I was on the blog, looking over my shoulder at some pictures posted of things going on around Hong Kong and nodding his head in approval while mentally jotting down the URL of the site, so that he can later thoroughly investigate it and its details in his office.
After he left the room, I didn't hesitate a moment in changing the blog name. That's where this name came from. I feel like a real Jew now. Albeit a modern one. I am being cyberly oppressed and forced to move out of my comfort zone just like the Jews were physically opressed in their historic homelands. I am being banished from my "unblogged84.blogspot" land. Forced to venture into unknown "ontherun84.blogspot" territory. Luckily for me, I brought everything I ever owned from my previous homes along here with me. I didn't even forget a shoelace (that secures that). I hope that this new "website home" will be comfortable. I sure hope that the good Aibishter blesses me with peace and tranquility in my new home.

I am "on the run"... Damn, I'm so dramatic!! I freek me out!! (*tee hee*)

Figuring out the Put-on's and Take-off's of the Phylacteries... Ashkenazi style.

Here's my main man Ori! He's off to Eretz Yisroel tommorrow for his Bar Mitzvah. He is the coolest Jew-boy, Hebrew speaking, Israeli, Basketball playing, Tefillin wearing, Food eating, Drink drinking kid out there. (12:36am does tend to carry me away. That's most probably the reason why I'm getting carried away at the moment.) Mazal Tov man. Oh, And bring me back a falafel!

Camp video and song.

Oh! I wanted to mention this also. In one year, 432 posts have been put onto this blog. This one, and the past post make it 434.

Anothing thing. This is a cool CGI Detroit video which was just edited. I threatened the editor of this video, that I would put it on my blog. So I'm keeping to my word.

Today's my aniversary!!

"Happy Birthday to my blog... Happy Birthday to my blog... Happy Birthday to my blog... Happy Birthday to my blog... How much do you weigh?... How much do you weigh?... How much do you weigh?... How much do you weigh?"

May 29, 2006 is the one year aniversary of my first post to this blog! Today I will be happy in honor of my blog which is one year old. I will say L'chaim and drink some 12 year old, single malt Macalan Whiskey in honor of my one year old blog. Today I will say Kapitel Beis in honor of my blog, who turns one years old today. I'm going to send my blog a virtual birthday card today. The birthday card will be found here... I'm still debating whether or not I'll make a hachloto in honor of my one year old Blog.

3:03am

In most books, you would probably read about a small alarm clock blinking 3:03 in the morning. While the books hero is probably tossing and turning about, not being able to sleep.
Not so in my case.
1) I'm not tossing and turning. In fact, I'm comfortably sitting upright in my chair at the computer screen.
2) I don't have a blinking alarm clock. In fact, I don't think I ever had one. Having a blinking alarm clock would really be cool. Even if I can have it only for one night. At least I'd know the feeling of having one. That would help me better relate to the books which speak about the blinking alarm clocks. It's really unfortunate, that blinking alarm clocks are foreign to me... It's as foreign to me as... say... ummm...pickled iguana fingers??

Man! I was shown a clip on the net a few days ago, where these druggies just talk to the camera and make fools out of themselves, trying to solve the world's problems. Well, I'm reading over what I wrote, and I get the feeling that I'm in the same mental state as those overdosed folks... But then again, I look at the little clock on the corner of my screen (Because... I don't have a blinking alarm clock to look at) and I see that it is 3:03 in the morning. Alot gets answered.

Shabbos was usual and unusual at the same time (There I go again). Lots of people showed up for the friday night dinner. Good food. We had a surprise guest, but I can't get in to it here and now. We had a huge Bein Hashmoshos before Mincha. Which probably is the reason that I fell asleep so easily on Friday night.
Shabbos Mevorchim Sivan happened for me. I woke up early. Davvening was awesome. I had a blast. My Bar Mitzvah kid came and I showed him the loops of the Synagogue. how to sneak out of the Shul during the Rabbi's speach. Where the booze is kept etc (hehe).
Fell asleep after Davvening. I wasn't feeling too well and was not interested in having to deal with all the french folk who came over for the big Kiddush. Dahfina was made! Dahfina was eaten. I woke up after the meal was over and had my share. I love Dahfina!! I love Dahfina!!

Mincha Maariv was cool. I actually met someone who's related to a close friend of our family. It was a reminder of how small this world is. I get the feeling, that next time I try being Misboinen on Gadlus Haboireih, this person will pop into my head and I'll think "Naa! The world 'aint that big after all." Again, that's all if I'm Misboinen in Gadlus Haboireih.

That's all for now. Tommorrow is supposed to be ATV'ing and Motorbiking for the Bar Mitzvah kids. It's supposed to rain heavy though. So we may have to push it off. Oh! Did I ever mention how much I love Hong Kong??

Gutte Voch.

P.S. I don't really like Dahfina. I just say I do. Because that's how we're supposed to be in HK. If people smile when we say "we like Dahfina"... Then we have to smile and say "We like Dahfina."
Who knows? They might make a bigger donation if we say it with a big enough smile. And if they don't give the "big" donation... Then it's proof that we didn't smile big enough. We have a meeting and things are fixed.
A big reminder to myself: Whenever the irony of this "ingrown toenail finguss'ed" world gets to you. Just look down at the small corner of your computer screen and see what time it is. Or look at your "blinking alarm clock" (AAAAAAAAAA!)

I know I wrote in my previous post that I had nothing to update about. But after already posting that, I remembered that there was some very interesting thing that was on the computer which I thought very appropriate to be shared with everyone.
This was actually on www.onlysimchas.com for about two hours a couple of days ago. One of the Bochurim (Not me) saw it and saved the picture on our computer before the Onlysimchas managers shamefully removed it.
... Like the Befeirushe Shrek says... Celebrity marriages, they never work!!

Update...

Well, my update for now, is that I don't have any updates. Things are busy. I don't have any pictures. But! The good news, is that this coming Sunday we take the Bar Mitzvah Club on their grand trip... Motor-bike and ATV'ing. That will be fun and I need to get tons of pics.

... In other news, we had lamb and Avocado salad for lunch today, so I'm in a really good mood.

Der Groiseh Finniff !!

The boat crew!

Zikky... The bull dog. He's great. He stinks. He' ugly and barks when he's hungry. Just the type of guy I love to be around

The Speed boat. Great time ripping around in the rain.

Drivers seat... I can't believe I trusted this young lady with my life while out on those turbulent seas... On second thought, maybe I could believe!

Cute pic of LayLay trying to ride the Jet-ski.

Great day!

I know I thought today would be horrible. It rained and it was cloudy. I was with a bull dog the entire time. But, surprisingly, I had a really fun time... Considering what else I would've been doing. We went out on the boat. Did some speed boat too. Sat in the boat while it rained for about two hours and chatted... Chatted some more. It was lot's of Farbrenging and chatting. I got to know Mr. G. a bit. He's wild.
Had a great time... I think I said that already. Well, anyways, I have to go and get ready for Mincha and Ma'ariv.

Enjoy the pics.

Shabbos... Sunday etc...

Shabbos was great. I don't really have much time here. But again, that all depends on when the Rabbi comes into the room and tells me that we're off.
It's Sunday morning here. Raining outside, and the Rabbi told us that we were all invited to spend a day with the G's on their Junk. That's pretty cool and I was looking forward to it... up until this morning, when I looked outside and saw the little annoying droplets of rain gently falling from the clouds. A sign from the heavens, that being on a boat would not be wise. But, like a true Chossid, one must view this providence as a mere test. The rain is coming down, not as a sign Telling us not to go, but rather as a test, as a evil resistance. The rain is only challenging us in our quest to 'hang out' with the G's. Obviously, we will overcome this little challenge and we will go out onto the boat. We will get ourselves soaked to the core out there on the wavy, windy, rainy Hong Kong'ian waters. But the rain will not win this war. We will persevere.
And when we finally come back to the warmth of our 'home'. When we finish taking our Tylenol's and hot tea's, foolishly trying to shake off the bitter chills and viruses which we have developed out there. We will at least feel good with the knowlege that we didn't give in to the rains and all those G-dly challenges.

Shabbos was weird. I say weird, because I don't really have any other way to describe it. It was the feeling I had the whole Shabbos, where I'm not sure whether everyone else is in a bad and stupid mood. Or whether it was me who was feeling crabby.

... Anyways, I hear the office outside lock, and I know that the boating time is coming closer. The Rabbi will step in here any second and let me know that we're getting ready to...

And the Kumzitz!

Kumzitz by the fire

Yisrolik lit the fire... HEHE!

Cute kid (I'm ashamed that I don't know her name yet).

Some more pictures from this years Lag Ba'Omer bon-fire

I almost forgot about the new "Project 104!" It's a present for the Rebbe. We need to get alot more commitments though.

And... yeah. Whatever! It was an awesome program. It's happening nexteh voch again.

I'm a Thordier in T-thivot Hashem!!

Chayalleh sit down please... Chayalleh! Sit down please!... Chayalleh, once more. Please sit down!!... CHAYALLEH!!!! SIT THE HECHT DOWN!!!!!!!

The girls gang were totally psyched about this new club!

Thweety Leah Avtzon

Mission possible... Actually WE DID IT!!

Tonight we celebrated. We have successfully launched Tzivot Hashem Asia (That's tzivo'T' Hashem... For the Israeli's). Tonight was our first meeting and 8 kids showed up... Which makes me wonder. Are two Avtzon kids considered part of the count? Otherwise, it's only 6.
Enjoy the pictures. It actually looks like it's going to be tons of fun. We gave them all T-shirts with Tzivot Hashem written on it. They will be getting badges as they increase their points... The usuals, only it's in Asia!

Had spagetti and meatballs for supper. Okay! Gosh! I know I'm getting pathetic when I'm writing what I had for dinner on my own blog. This is stupid! alright STOP IT NOW!!! NOW!!!! NOW!!!

Supper had a bad affect on me apparently. Need to prepare Torah baseball for Shabbos. Need to prepare the Fortune Challah's for this weeks Cholecado club. Oh! Did I mention, we have this new cool thing that the kids are actually so excited about. Yisrolik calls it Cholent club. I call it Cholecado club. I make sure Juanito buys about 10 Avocados before Shabbos. We have Daisy bake about 10 Challah', putting a small little crazy note inside the Challah. Then, on Shabbos afternoon, when everyone goes upstairs to have the Shabbos meal at the Avtzon residence, we have our own little meal with the kids who were at Chabad. We start with washing our hands. Then, everyone gets a Challah, makes the Brocha and eats it. Finding their fortune challah letter inside. They open it and read it. Some of them have cheesy comments like "If an angel drools Cholent on your earlobe, you might just be the next American Idol" (Mathew loves them). Others will have something like. "Phew! Thanks for saving me from that Challah. I was suffocating in there for three weeks. For saving my life, Benny or Yisrolik will give you a bag of bissli." We even had one that said "Psssst, meet me behind the cabinet door of the washroom in five minutes. Signed The Avocado monster." Whatever, you get the point.
Anyways, I can see that in like a hundred years, I'll be looking back at this post and be thinking "What in the world was I smoking??" Obviously, in 100 years, cigarettes won't be around. You'll probably just have to download nicatine into your blood via lightning speed internet connection... Alright. I'm off. Enjoy the pictures.

Yekatrinoslav forever and ever... and even for eternity.

I feel good... "da na-na na-na na-na"

Finished the staff list for camp! Posted it! Had a meeting today! Ate pizza for supper tonight too. Did you know, that Pita, with tuna on top of it, layered with melted cheese is awesome! I just found that out tonight.

Need to finish phone calls and emails. Then, I have my night free. I wonder what I'm going to do (Tee hee. Immature giggle)

Yes, they eventually did tip their ROW BOAT and get all soaking wet.

And the big picture. Here is the one and only Jacuzzi which keeps me happy every day of the week! A must for every Bochur!

And another sneak from the other side of the Mechitzah.

Here's a sneak peak through the Mechitzah.

Steve has gone totally nuts! I sneaked a peak past the Mechitzah (I know I know...) and I saw Steve sitting there, with head covering and all reading Psalms. I was shocked! He was even silently weeping and dabbing his damp eyes with tissues. It was as if he was some religious female lioness or something. I was horrified that my lion got some serious disease. I don't know what to do with him here. It might be allergies or something.

AND THIS!!

This!!

But this is where the problem begins... Lately (As of about yesterday) I think Steve has developed a slight case of schizophrenia. I busted him in the mens section Davvening Shacharit with his Tallis and all... But then

"Steve of the week" is finally back!! Here, he was busted chilling on the Bimah trying to practice his speaking skills. He's doing great here in Hong Kong. Hasn't gotten into any trouble lately. Also, you can see he's quite tanned and his hair is all frizzly from the boiling sun.

balustrade n.
A rail and the row of balusters or posts that support it, as along the front of a gallery.

It's a good thing I looked this up on an online dictionary. Where do these Chinese people get their vocabulary from??!!

I actually donated my shoe for some of the event. This is a picture of my shoeless lower body.

Palm tree! It was a pleasant moment of nostalgia from a wonderful year gone by.

Le Peak Galleria. It was like we were on the Peak overlooking the Peak!

Some Africaaaan dance being taught to the Kids.

A little break for a hike up to the top of the mountain... Once again I got to see the magnificent creation of Hashem called Hong Kong!... The Rain... Keeps the flowers from dying...
