Thursday schedule

We woke up at 8am this morning. Had our first play in this gorgeous home in a gated area called "Presidential suites and estates" for some Chabad Chanuka party. The play was at 9:30am which we casually started at about 10:15. We then went to Aventura for the Chabad's children's Chanukah party and performed at 1pm. Tonight, we're going to Boca Raton and performing in another mall and then our last show of Miami in the Moshiach center of Miami Beach. It's very hectic. But at least the Bochurim are enjoying their last day in Miami now. They're all swimming and going meshigeh (in true Ottawa spirit)

I will post pictures of the trip as soon as I get a normal computer.

Frelichen Chanuka once again.

5 Show day!

Today we have our busiest day of the trip. We're doing five shows in total. 3 in the Landau School for all the Lubavich kids, one in Coral Springs mall and one in "The Shul" in Bal Harbour. Then we have one more day left. This is such a blast!!

First busy Chanuka day in Florida!

We had a big day today. First day of Chanuka, we did three plays today. One in Hollywood, one in Golden Beach by an Israeli Shliach (It was horrendous... Outdoors, serving pizza to everyone in the middle of our play. I almost commited suicide in the middle of the Hatzaggah) and we did our last show back in Hollywood at another Chabad Chanuka party. We did the shows for the two rival Chabad centers of Hollywood. One IS an official Shliach, the other one isn't. The fact is, they both payed us the cash and both of them loved the entertainment, so all is well with me.
We met "Jew Da Maccabbi" tonight. He performed at two of our shows today. We all hung out and got to know each other. I'm sure everyone knows who Jew Da Maccabbi is. He's this really great Lubavich rapper. Whatever... I'm now dead tired and have to go to sleep. Things were awesome today.
I also met Harris from Hawaii. The guy who I hooked up with 2 years ago Pesach. He lives in the same area that I'm staying in (I'm now a confirmed believer in Hashgocho Protis!). I'm in shul on Shabbos and I casually see his kid walk by. I was shocked and... I'm way too tired to explain all the details right now, but it was a pretty intense reunion between us.
Gosh! The truth is, there's so much to write about. I'm just too tired for it all tonight.

(For those wondering, Jew-Da-Macabbi has a music video going around called "iron like a lion" and there was a whole article posted on him on http://www.crownheights.info/?itemid=1189. Aaight, goodnight!)

Update

I don't have pictures or anything uploaded... yet. But here is my update and some of the stuff going through my mind now.
1) I'm majorly in debt to pay for this play (Any help??)
2) We had one play. The mic's screwed up in middle. I think it was a total flop. But the people said that it was good and we got paid. So who cares about the other problems?
3) We had to mess over a Shliach who was totally depending on us. We made a mistake in the dates and it turns out, he thought we were going to perform for him next week when we're not even going to be in Florida... I obviously had to deal with all the violent repercussions.

So, I'm having a great time. The weather here is NOT LIKE IN OTTAWA! And... I gotta' go and have breakfast. We have another play today.

A freilichen Chanuka to all!

Here is a picture of our Chanuka play. It's not the best picture, but the play is amazing.
I don't want to even begin to explain the utter hell I went through today, trying to fix our screwed up van renting issue. We were supposed to rent vehicles last night. To make a long and stressful story short, IY"H all will turn out well and we will be on the road to Coral Springs tommorrow at about 10am.

Finally can download pictures... YEEE-HAAW

Our snow storm. I'm like three days late and the city doesn't look half like the picture now. But I don't care, this is what it looked like and I finally figured out how to post pictures on this blog again. (It was about 2 feet of snow)
I'm so happy! I will post our so-far play performance pictures online later tonight.

Pre Chanukah play rap demo!

But when he finally released
his list with his decrees
I decided it was time to stand up to those Greeks

After speakin' to my Granny
who lives down in Miami
She told me to fight back - she said "Their askin' for a whammy!!"

They were many we were fewish
they were mighty we were bluish
the thing that they forgot, was the fact that we were Jewish.

Oh, our plays are rocking houses! They're going great so far. We have another one coming up tommorrow in the Chabad school here in Ottawa. It's at 10am. Hashem Yishmereini!!
By the way, what is happening in Hong Kong with the Reloaded M.I.B.'s? It says on www.chabadhk.com that they're doing a special performance in Chater Gardens. Whatever they do, it's going to be tough with Santi Claus running around. Chabad is doing the Chanukah Menorah lighting together with Hong Kong's X-mas town. Anyone know what their performance is?? I was thinking something musical. Cause they got musical Bochurim this year. Unlike some other folk that I was with last year. :)

Can't post pictures

This computer ticks me off. I can't post any pictures of anything here. It way too slow. But anyways, There was this massive snowstorm here in Ottawa. Two feet of snow. Hectic! (Especially when you're walking around in slippers like me).
We had our first Chanukah play tonight. It was in some party place. The JCC was having a camp reunion for all their wonderful kinderlach from this past summer (Obvioulsy nothing 'too' Jewish) and we were invited to come and perform and entertain these Little Chico's and Chica's. It was fun. We came all nervous (It was our first play), not sure of what we were dealing with. There were about 170 kids and parents hanging around the place playing arcades, jumping in those ball thingy's.
Anyways, I don't like making these massive articles anymore. But the play was great. I obvioulsy screw3ed up on some lines, but I had so much fun and In think everyone loved it. It was definitely very entertaining and will only get better.
A Gutt voch, and I'll post pictures and longer updates when I next get the chance!

Florida... here we come

Florida is just 5 days away and I'm nervous. I'm nervous because you never know how ready you are for the play. I'm nervous because we don't have any money to rent vehicles or pay for gasoline (yet). I'm nervous because of some other issues I'm dealing with. I hate being nervous!
It sucks to have a broken camera and have to wait for it to get fixed before you can post new pictures once again.
But, things are great. We had this smashing Farby last night. Two Birthdays.
Today is the beginning of the Yeshiva's Lech Lecha trip. For the past few weeks, Hanholas HaYeshiva have arranged a trip for the certain Bochurim who would prepare Negel vasser every night, wear Yarlmukah and Tzitzis to bed, Keep Seder etc. etc.
Basically, out of 34 Bochurim, only 14 are in the trip. Today will be the first "leg" of the journey (I love that "leg of the journey" line). The Bochurim are going skiing today. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be a secret or not. Then, they're all off to Baltimore for Shabbos, ending off with Washington and a hockey game (A HOCKEY GAME!!). Finally, they will arrive back in Ottawa on Monday night.
The guys who made the trip and are in the play are ticked at me, because I'm not letting them go. I can't. We have two plays in Ottawa this coming weekend and they can't miss it.
Whuh - eh - vuh!

Oh! We have this all new rap to begin our play with. It's great. It's Yehudah and Antiochus rapping.we were thinking of having a freestyling rap battle between Antiochus and Yehudah, but... that was kinda' dumped. I don't know why.

A Freilichen Chanukah to all (Including Steve!)

Most hillarious blog

I know I'm supposed to be on a dissing spree against my lovely Rosh Yeshiva, Shoch!! But, I couldn't help it. Today I saw the absolutely funniest article posted on his blog. If you want to see funny articles and "literally" up to the minute Ottawa Yeshiva reports, then check out www.yamamai.net It's totally hillarious and entertaining.

I love you Shoch!!! (How's that for a diss??)

Yeah, Zvi was standing under the crown!! Must've been on a Sunday. (Okay, that was an inside joke for all the Yekoids!)

The most awesomest face ever. My bro-in law and his kid Sholom!

Wedding pics... more

The Welling

The welling was awesome!! (I'm tired again and therefore I'm in the mood of calling it a welling... it's just easier to think about it that way. 'huh??')
I'll just give a couple of good memories from that historic period of my unenchanted life. I got to Morristown from Crown Heights fifteen minutes before the Welling began. I was still dressed in my weekday clothes. It was very hectic. I ran to a friends room in the Yeshiva dorm and changed as quickly as I could. Brushed my teeth, quickly through some deoderant on and went downstairs to my only brother's wedding. I mean welling.
Walking into the Tiferes Zal for that first moment was pretty memorable. Zvi was sitting there in tie. A TIE for crying out loud!! He looked good surprisingly. I haven't seen him in one of those things for about 10 years already (I'm that old).
The Chuppah was cool. Zvi told me to sing Baruch Haboh for everyone. I ran over to like three people before the Chuppah, just to make sure that I knew the tune properly. I had never practiced for it. But, I think I did good. I actually surprised myself a bit. (EGO intended)
We had pictures after the wedding. DRABBBY. I hated the pictures. The photographer was a friend of my father, but an enemy for everyone else. He was horrible. I don't know how Zvi lasted. The guy didn't even have a sense of humor.
The dancing came and went very fast for me. I came to the hall, drank, danced, drank and danced some more. From what I hear, it was exteremely Freilach.
One awesome thing about it, was that it was a total Bochurim's party. There were like 30 ba'alei batim there, then about 100 Bochurim. The place was wild.

That's pretty much it. I'm planning on putting up a couple of more pics. Vechulu Veda"l.

I'm also going to try to update this a bit more often. I'm really tired... I feel like a spider after spinning a two foot web in a kindergarden toy box. (For some reason, this reminds me of the Pittsburgh Penguins announcer... Zvi??)

Shabbos Ofruf

My bro's Ofruf was great. For the part that I was there. I slept in on Shabbos morning. Woke up, went to 770 where Davvenning in the Rebbe's room was just ending. I was pi**ed that he did the Ofruf in the Rebbe's room, but that's a whole different story altogether.
The kiddush was very lebedik. My brother in law got trashed, Zvi stayed sober throughout. I also stayed sober. Not surprisingly.

WEDDING IS TOMMORROW!!

What's going on??!

Things are so stressful here. In case nobody knew, my Chosson brother was stuck at the American border last week. He was told that he can't enter America until his application for a green card or something like that is accepted. That could take 8 months or so. It's these little things that happen to you that make you so ticked off for being Canadian. I don't know. He finally got into America today and will IY"H be ready for the wedding on Sunday night. Things just got so crazy. All the preparations were at their peak, when all of a sudden it's like "Hey! We may not even be able to have the wedding after all!" Gee, why does Hashem do that?!
But, Baruch Hashem things are slowly working out, together with all the difficulties along the bumpy unpaved road. Tonight, I'm on my way home, when I find out that I can't rent a van to go into NY. I have a preliminary license and can't rent from the place I was planning to. It's things like these that sort of make you ticked off that you only have a preliminary license... DAMN!
But again... G-d had some sort of plan. A couple of Bochurim are on their way to my home right now. they're bringing a Bochur who has a regular license and can rent. We're going to go over to the rental place and get our van tommorrow with a "normal license"!!!
Why does this stress happen at the wrong times. If there wasn't a wedding happening, things wouldn't be so bad. Whatever... Just in one of those moods now.

Oh! My motto for this post is: Don't bother me now, I'm busy living happily ever after!

Benoit!
