Whatever!!!!
Click here to see what the 'whatever' is about.
In other news, Motzaei Shabbos was a big night for my humble abode.
We had a Melava Malka for immediate family members which began at 11:30 and ended at around 2:00am. Horrible. I'm still wiped from it.
In other news, I just quit the Safrus factory at the museum. I'm IY"H going to go back to doing the regular game shows at the museum. It's waaay too hard to do the factory. At least in comparison with the game show it is. So, after having an entire write up about the program in the Daily News (Kana"l), I quit the job and will give room for someone else to finish off the project.
I had a thought today to post, but I totally forgot it. It's kind of ticking me off.
Stam... tomorrow will be exactly a year since I played a special song to a special someone, asking them to marry me. The first anniversary of my proposing. It's definitely a day to remember and cherish for the rest of my life.
YAAAY!! This week is the Torah portion where it speaks about all the Mitzvos and various laws which we are commanded to keep. (Obviously in a positive way!)
And now, while waiting for this boring Kollel lunch hour to end, so that I can return to Kollel and continue learning the Heiligeh Aibishter's holy Torah, I will finish off this post with useless and wisdomless typing of KAK... Absolutely nothing of importance or value for the rest of this post.
It's sort of cool - I was thinking - how all the women seem to celebrate 22 Shvat much more than the men do. While the Rebbetzin has no more of a connection to women than men, other than the fact that she was a woman herself, the Lubavich women feel their connection to the Rebbetzin lots more than the men feel it.
What I mean to say is, that we don't find any specific or exclusive relationship that the Rebbetzin showed to women throughout her life, more than what she showed to men. She was equally Tznius to both genders. Yet, being that she was a woman, the Lubavich women throughout the world sort of relate to her alot more than the men do.
Just interesting, but no reason for mentioning it.
In other news, I think I'll talk about the Tzfattim for awhile now. I know that such a topic can keep my fingers exercising for a very long time on this keyboard.
I was looking at the dark-skinned, Middle Eastern, Fanatically oriented cult known as the 770 Tzafattim this morning, trying to analyze them while they danced around in that 'circle of life' after Shacharis today.
They are nuts!! That's first and foremost to be established. After we have that downpat, we can continue further.
The Cadillac that they bought for the Rebbe. A brand new Cadillac, like the one pictured above. Yet they totally perverted the concept of the Rebbe's car. I'm almost 100% certain that if the Rebbe saw a Chossid driving around in such a vehicle, let alone buying it for the Rebbe himself, he would have an absolute fit. It's a nice Cadillac, totally plastered in Bright neon, flag colored yellow, covered in Yechi... Pictures of the Rebbe adorn the entire car. It looks like those shiny designed Volkswagon's which come into the circus carrying thirty or so clowns. Is the Rebbe really going to ride in that 'beefed up' Caddy (excuse the expression, but I'm being literal.)??? What CHUTZPAH!!!
Another point to mention: When looking at these people and studying their lives and their belief, it's clear to see that if some other Tzaddik were to stand up to redeem all the Jews from exile and be proclaimed as the world's Moshiach, then they would adamantly refuse to believe in his legitimacy. They would refuse to allow anyone else to be Moshiach...
Now, I know this is very controversial and I may be stepping on many toes here, but all must agree that the belief in the Rebbe being Moshiach, which I myself believe in, is no more than a belief. Even when all the Rabbonim signed the declaration which stated that the Rebbe is Moshiach. They weren't stating the the Rebbe is the factual Moshiach. They merely testified that the Rebbe had all the necessary credentials to be Moshiach.
As Chassidim of the Rebbe, we obviously believe that the Rebbe is Moshiach. He can very well still be Moshiach. But that's as far as it goes. The way Chabad defines the concept of Rebbe and leader, makes it baffling and hard to comprehend how the rest of the Jewish world can appoint Rebbe's and leaders and still tell you that they don't believe that their Rebbe is the Moshiach.
Chabad Chassidus takes on the notion that if you accept this person to be your Rebbe, then he is absolute perfection. He is 100% worthy of being the Moshiach. If he wouldn't be perfection and Tzaddik Gommur, then he would not be able to become a Rebbe or a Manhig BeYisroel.
But!! Nobody is factually Moshiach until they actually reveal themselves and redeem all of Klal Yisroel from exile. While we are in exile, we are free to believe in whoever we wish to believe in. Lubavichers choose to believe that their Rebbe is Moshiach. But if someone were to come and redeem us all, then that's awesome!! We would follow happily.
Not so with the Tzfatim!!! They are so sure that the Rebbe is the Moshiach, that's it's totally impossible to be otherwise, and any other Jew who would attempt the Geulah would be pushed away and trampled by them.
Obviously when the real Moshiach comes, the world will be at complete peace and nobody will be able to contradict the truth. But while we're in Golus, this is the apparent scenario that would unfold...
So much more to talk about on this concept... I will leave it for another time.
The reason that we don't appoint anyone else as Rebbe etc...
(OOOOH!!! That should leave this post with some serious anger and edginess!! YEAH!)

Motzaei Shabbos, Chof Beis Shvat.
I was so inspired the other night, as I casually reminisced last years happenings, which were described so detailed on my blog.
Chof Beis Shvat post.
Engagement.
This time of year is always so exciting.
I don't know why (Or perhaps I do know why, but I just can't admit it... jk)
A famous theory which was so well described by a close friend of mine. It's sort of a "Josh of the week" (remember those?)... "In this world, there is what's normal and then there is the 'norm'"
Normal: Normal is what's described and defined in the Torah as the proper and 'normal' way of life for a person to live by.
The Norm: The norm is the way the world translates what's normal and what's not.
Example: It's normal to wear nice, loose clothing which cover your body and don't boast any parts of you which should remain private and exclusive for the world. It's 'the norm' to wear open, tight clothing which show off any and every possible areas of the human anatomy.
And lastly... Marriage is so much about change.
When someone gets married, they are deciding to bring into their lives an entirely new person, whom they've only been together with for a couple of hours.
Mothers, Fathers, Brothers, Sisters and closest friends are somewhat abandoned in the new couples challenge of fusing together as one.
It can be very hard for family and friends to accept that... After all, the family, nor the closest friend were consulted whether or not the newfound spouse is good enough to join into the relationship.
When my brother got engaged and married... It took me like three months until I was able to accept the fact that the entire relationship between him and myself was dramatically changing forever. He was always busy with his special 'someone' and seemed to never have time to be with me. I felt like such 'kak' about it and sort of resented him.
But!!! After awhile, I finally came to the slow realization that he was doing the right thing. I realized that all the anger that I harbored to him and his wife were so selfish and wrong. They were doing the most wonderful thing together and I was supposed to be supporting it and working with them.
After accepting the change that took place, I finally began appreciating him and we really came close again. (albeit, in a different sort of way. But still very close.)
Should people totally cut off ties and connections with previous friends or family members when they get married?? Absolutely not! It's wrong. People need to stay connected in some way with their friends from the past!
Are newlyweds possibly, understandably expected to get maybe a bit carried away with their newfound loves, their newfound troubles and challenges that they are faced with and most importantly... Their newfound lives?? Probably.
Newlyweds should definitely keep in touch with their previous life... But to get a bit carried away is totally understandable and should be nothing that a sincere apology shouldn't be able rectify.
People need to understand that and go with it.
Of course it hurts when someone gets married and maybe might seem to forget about you. But understand them please. Let them apologize and go on. Don't begrudge them for it forever.
It also makes the married individual feel so bad that his/her friends think they've been abandoned. It doesn't help very much!!
P.S. In case you think I was writing this with a specific intention to someone in mind. Have another beer please.
In case you're wondering what the Hecht that meant... Have another beer!!!

Checking in Checking in huh let me begin...
From an interesting email I received from a really cool visitor to the blog every so often... I absolutely adore this picture... I will keep the sender of the email anonymous...So... It's a year since I dated. If this topic affects its reader in any of two ways, then I sincerely apologize and you need to get a life.
What are those 'two ways' I refer to?
1) If you read this post and think something like "EEEWWW!!! He's talking about dating... Such a pervert!
2) If you read this post and you're thinking "Oh cool!!! He's about to talk about dating!"
In both such instances, this post is not meant for you and you should not read any further.
Stop!!! Go to another blog or something. Bugger off!!
Sooo, now that all those weird thinking individuals are gone (Which probably means that I'm going to be the only individual ever to read ahead... Because every single other person that may ever read this blog will fall into the previous catergories and be forced to stop reading... Gosh! I hate explaining jokes to myself.)...
I dated exactly a year ago and got married - Baruch Hashem, Kein Ayin Hora, Poo Poo Poo, Sheinah Ponim - very happily.
Montreal Canadiens Hockey team rebounded back from losing 3-1 when entering the third period to beat the New Jewsey Devils 4-3... What a game!
Kollel was Kak this past week. I didn't get much learning done this week. I was in Montreal for this past weekend and came back on Tuesday morning. It was one hecht of a trip.
Played outdoor ice hockey in Montreal last week Motzaei Shabbos... That was refreshing.
Started a Torah/Safrus workshop in the Museum today. It was Gehinom. I don't like it one bit.
Had incredible suppers this past week... Thanks to the most awesomestest wife - again Baruch Hashem, Kein Ayin Hora, Sheina Ponim, Poo Poo Poo, Bli Ayin Hora and all the other possible expressions.
Theories in my mind lately:
1) The idea that every single person lives their entire life with an image that they want to present. That's what make people embarrassed of different things. For example, one person will get embarrassed if everyone finds out that he sings in the shower, because the image that he always wanted to portray to the world was a person who doesn't sing in the shower. But now everyone knows that he is bogus. Another person might be so proud to tell the world about his shower singing experiences. That being, since his desired image is a more wild, open, outgoing person... I'm not sure how clear that is. But in my mind I think it's a cool theory to develop.
2) Isn't it cool how Movies are starting to portray the deeper meaning of life, the fact that there may be other living creatures among us, the notion that spirituality can affect us in so many ways. I just needed to find a reason to justify that about movies... I'm still possible guilty as charged.
3) I noticed the difference between wishing someone a 'good day' when taking leave of them, or wishing them a 'wonderful, awesome, incredible day' when parting can make such a difference in their response and the way they actually go about the rest of their day. It really works. Try it.
You can choose the usual, monotonous 'good day' which doesn't make an inkling of a difference in the other persons life or moment. But imagine wishing someone an awesome, incredible, wonderful day!! and really meaning it. Say it with passion and feeling and really mean what you say. You'll see such a difference in reaction. REALLY COOL!!
4) I love the way everything in the world is relative. Meaning to say, the way that the world translates and defines everything is so dependent on individuals who convince everyone of their own stupid opinions.
Take fashion for example... One day checkered clothing is the hottest style. The next day, it's all narrow, body defining shiny materials... And the world goes nuts over them. Whatever... It's all in the mind.
I'm going to sign off now and try to update this blog a bit more often.
Maybe even after being a Tatty and having a whole bunch of Aiginer kinder, I'll still post onto this blog every once in a while.
Who knows?
Good Shabbos all.

Update on life!!
Well, life's been nice to me the past few days. I don't have much time to blog now. Because I have to get on down to the Museum to do another game show. But I will post the few things that are casually strolling through my head these past couple of days.
My kids will look at this video in ten years and think I'm totally off my rocker!!! At least there are things on this blog which will convince my kids about that, way before they even come across this video.
Anyways... My sister was visiting the Kosel a couple of months back, when she saw an old woman walking around with a styrophome (???) cup. She figured that the woman was walking around collecting money. So, being all inspired from the whole Kosel environment, she casually took out a Shekel or two and dropped it into the woman's cup. As the Shekel dropped into the cup, she all of a sudden heard a plop. The Shekel fell right into the woman's cup of coffee that she was drinking. The woman started yelling at her... It was really funny and I laughed tons when I heard the story first hand from the wonderful 'Shvester'.
Hmmmm...
Erev Yud Shvat and I'm so not ready. I haven't finished Basi LeGani (Legnuni)... I haven't been a very good boy lately... What am I going to tell my Rebbe when I visit him tomorrow.
So many things that I have to cry about. But tears don't come.
Anyways... I'm going to head off to the Museum and then to Kollel. I'm really learning good these past couple of days (Bli Ayin Hora - Baruch Hashem)
I'll catcha'all lay-tah!
Good Yom Tov!

1,001 YAAAY!!!! That's how bored I've been.
Surprisingly, hitting the 1,000 post mark is not as exciting as I thought it would be. It's now 12 midnight and I'm sitting by the computer, about to begin the post, when I notice that this post will be #1,001. How delightful... But not so exciting.
The main reason I was posting this is to put up two really cool little things that I wanted to share with Alemen!
1) My sister in law just won a ton of money at the KSCVK Chinese Auction. She was the 'split-the-pot' winner. The funny thing is, that we gave her a whole bunch of money to put in the Auction for us and we initially thought that the winning ticket was one of our donations. But a long and emotionally painful phone call with her confirmed that she did not put our money into the 'split-the-pot' box. Rather, she put the money in the boxes that we had so foolishly requested her to donate to (Grand prize and Jackpot!). It's times like these, where you wish to heaven that your siblings wouldn't have listened to you.
2) Tonight, the wife and myself were watching something online... It wasn't very Jewish (I must confess). Being that the internet is Kakky here in the apartment, the video kept chopping up. Eventually I got so frustrated at it and I mentioned to the wife how I'm totally losing my patience at this stupid little video. To which she replied "Benny, you need to work on controlling your reactions to this video. This is all your Yetzer Hora!"
I laughed, she laughed. It was really funny!
...
I guess it was one of those "you had to be there" moments. Whatever. You had to be there.
And I sign off tonight with the ticked offededness at not winning the prize. It's one thing to not win at an auction. But for Hashem to tease you like that... That's just torturous!
It sort of reminds me of the story that my wife told me about the huge group of Rabbi's that gathered together to make a Din Torah against Hashem during the Holocaust. They Paskend that Hashem is in the wrong and he is totally at fault for the atrocities against all the suffering Jews. As soon as they finished the Din Torah where Hashem was apparently found guilty (Kaveyochol), the Rabbi's stood up and they began shouting "Minyan Ma'ariv!! Minyan Ma'ariv!"
That is Judaism!! Be upset at Hashem... But that's all. It does not go a single step further than that.
And another freeky thought that passed my mind today while sitting in Kollel was "Have I gone out of Egypt this year?? I know that all the Jews went out of Egypt almost 3,000 years ago. But if I was really living with the times, as the Alter Rebbe directed, then I should be in a huge process of going out of Egypt these past couple of weeks... I should be totally exploding out of the confines of those instinctive barriers which handcuff me down to nature! I need to leave this place. And if there's any time during the year to do it... It's now. This week! Right here!!!"
Gutte Nacht!

I found this on youtube. Apparently someone copied from the Maccabees DVD into the computer. It's really cool!

Friday morning.

Five hours of sleep last night. Seven in the morning NYC Subway train ride to Newkirk Ave in Coney Island (Don't ask why) and I'm fatigued. I fell asleep on the train. That was something I haven't done in years.
The last time I fell asleep on a train must've been in London on the way back from Mivtzoim one Friday. I woke up a couple of stops later with a woman brushing me off of her shoulder because she needed to get off at the stop. I had fallen asleep and my head fell onto the shoulder of a woman sitting next to me. For a really Hassidishe Bochur, that stuff is traumatizing!!
It's crazy how seldom my posts are becoming. I really need to get a grip on life and start posting more often (just kidding. I thought that that would be an ironic point to make).
It's almost Shabbos and we're headed off this afternoon to a Chabad House in Howard Beach, New York... About twenty minutes from Crown Heights and halfway to the Ohel. The sister in law and brother in law are having a 'One Shabbos, One World' Shabbaton at their Chabad house this Shabbos and we're going to be helping them.
Some really cool Hashgocho Protis happened last week, when the sister in law was getting frantic about the fact that she didn't have a guest speaker yet and it was only a week before the event.
Motzaei Shabbos, she got a call from Leibele in Montreal. "Hi Zeldi, I just want to suggest to you that there's this really good speaker here in Montreal. I think he would be perfect for your Shabbaton. His name is Yisroel Bernath and you should really give it a shot and call him."
Two minutes later, Lazer comes upstairs and tells them "Zeldi, there's this guy who was with us during the Maccabees show in Montreal. He's an excellent speaker and I think you should try and get him for the Shabbaton next week. His name... Yisroel Bernath."
Meanwhile over Shabbos, Sonia and myself were discussing possible speakers for Zeldi's Shabbaton and we came up with someone who I knew about. Sonia called Zeldi on Motzaei Shabbos and said "Zeldi, Benny gave me someone who you can try and get for next week. He's officially an amazing speaker and he's only from Montreal. His name is Yisroel Bernath.
Now... if that's not Hashgocho Protis, then what is? Zeldi contacted Yisroel Bernath and they're going to be at the Chabad House for the Shabbaton tonight. Yisroel will be the guest speaker. I'm really excited!
Besides for that, there's this incredible Chazzan coming to the Chabbad House as well. Some Bochur dude from CH who has a really nice voice.
Lazer, Yehudis, Benny, Sonia, Chazzan dude, Yisroel, wife and baby... There are going to be lots of guests tonight. It should be awesome!
But as I said before, I'm dead tired. So I can see the entire program being so horrible for me. I'd better get a grip on myself.
Anyways, Moshiach should come real soon. Good Shabbos to all the nobodies out there. and if you're somebody, then I have two things to say to you: One - You're really a nobody. Cause that's what we all really are. And two - Good Shabbos to you too.

These are sooo cool!!
Here is a human pacman game. I love this one. Cracks me up every time. I panic and go crazy!
This one is so cute. Human tetris. It shows how much time people have on their hands and the cool things they can come up with.
And lastly...
This is another type of tetris. It's from some sort of Japanese TV show. Really cute!
