Paintballing on Thursday and basketball on Friday!

We went paintball shooting on Thursday at this really cool location called Hollywood sports. Then, on Friday, Camp Mt. Olympus got embarrassed in game against the Yeshiva Cheder camp at basketball. They beat us like 20-12. Some of the kids were quite upset about it, but then the kids went ice skating, so all came out well in the end.

Shabbos was spent with three other Bochurim in a city in California called Bakersfeild. Rabbi Shlanger is the Shliach there, but he was in New York for Gimmel Tammuz and asked us to take over the Chabad house for this Shabbos. It was a totally awesome experience. The guys there are awesome and I really enjoyed myself... Did I forget to mention that my whole body is burned up because he has this outdoor pool in his backyard (*Oy vey*!)

But on Friday, we stopped on the way to bakersfeild, and some Israeli guy came over to us and asked us why we were wearing our orange camp T-shirts. When we explained to him that it's because we are anti-disengagement and therefore made our camp t-shirts the color orange. He said that his mother almost started to cry when she saw our t-shirt color and he put on Teffilin. I was Yotze Mivtzoim this past friday and I feel so proud of it!

This is me today, before I fell off my boat!

At least the kids have SOME future career ahead of them!

JewFro boy on the right!

Our first days rope course trip

Boy on the right has the mohawk haircut.

Rabbi Rodal on opening day!

Two great kids from the camp (But why the long hair??)

I finally met something that seemed to understand me and my feelings for a change!!

Camp is awesome!!!

So, here I am in camp. It's my second day of this heaven.

The kids here are awesome. Like half of camp has long hair, afros, mohawks! it's amazing what these Californian kids can come up with for hairstyles. One of my campers on the first day told me when I asked him his name "Oh that's okay, you can just call me JewFro"... reffering to his retardedly huge shaitel on his head.
But camp is awesome. We went on this really cool rope course on the first day of camp. The today, we went to Newport beach, where we did boating and biking. I fell off my boat in all my clothing and lost my glasses... Which is pretty conceivable (Unfortunately!)
That means that it's my second year in a row that I'll have lost glasses in the water in camp (last year I lost mine, when my glasses were accidentaly knocked off the docks in camp while I was Mikky dippng!)

But otherwise, that's about it.
I'm missing Hong Kong and everyone in it... Except for that annoying guard at the front door of Chabad who thinks that Yisrolik Baumgarten is my twin brother (I wonder who tipped him on that one??).

Anyways, I'm going to sleep. This camp really wears you out and tommorrow I got paintballing!

Chabad of Mount Olympus... Where I will be for the next month!

Us at some view of California after tonight's restaurant (Remember... it's called Orange Delight and they gave us free smoothie's... they're a great restaurant and you should all go there and give them lots of business. They're real nice!)

AAAAAAAAAAA!!! Hollywood Blvd.

The office of the Rabbi!!!!

Entrance to Mount Olympus.

My - long - Califonia update...

Well, I made it to California (The pillipino's would call it cali-por-nia... But I'm trying to stay Chah-see-dish!). I came to Mount Olympus Chabad house. It's based in the rabbi's house. I thought I would be having this cheesy "chilled out" time in California for a month, then going over to Ukraine and having fun there. But Apparently... G-d had other plans for me.
The Chabad house is small in size, but huge in warmth and "chabad house'age" (If you know what I mean).
This camp, which I actually thought it was in the begginning, is NO camp!!! It's a frieking heaven for 10-15 year old boys!
I looked at the schedule, and there seems to be not a day throughout the whole summer, that we actually stay in camp. Every single day is another trip. It's awesome.
We have 20 actual days of camp. And our trips our: 1) Rope course. 2) Newport beach. 3) Paintball. 4) Ice skating and pizza. 5) Knott's-berry-farm (An amusement park). 6) Skate park. 7) Sport fishing in the middle of the atlantic. 8) Pharoh's lost kingdom (A huge water park) and the over night. 9) Water sports (i.e. jet-ski'ing, banana boating, tubing etc...). 10) Magic Mountain (THE amusement park of L.A.!) 11) Surfing lessons. 12) paintball competition against another camp. 13) Family fun center. 14) Bowling and trip to Munchies Kosher candy store. 15) Fly to Denver Colorado for the beginning of our week long Colorado trip. Tour the mint. 16) Alpine sliding and action activities. 17) Six flags in Denver. 18) ATV'ing and mountain biking. 19) Pikes peak, colorado springs and sight seeing. 20) Mad Shabbaton in Colorado. 21) White water rafting. 22) fly back from Colorado and camp ends.!!!
How awesome is that! I'm going absolutely crazy. If there are any 10-15 year old boys who have not yet known of this camp. Well I'm letting you know right now. The year 5766 is going to be even better and you better get your rumps down to Cali and get into this camp. It's the hottest thing on this planet in this present era.
But, back to present news. I just ate at this really cool restaurant called orange delight. It's somewhere in the Valley. It's really good and the owner gave us (Me and Nuttie Shpigelman who I'm with in camp here) a free smoothie... So now I'm promoting his restaurant to pay back for a free smoothie!
If anybody is in California, EVER!!! Pass by the Orange delight. It's this really great little restaurant with great food and this nice little old mexican lady (If thats what it takes to get you down there). You'll have fun, guaranteed!
Anyways, it's like 2 in the morning and I'm totally zonked. So, I'll just post some pictures and retire for the night.
Good Shabbos from hershky84!
