Klipas Nogah corner!

Whoever this kid is, I don't know. But his voice and this song are one of the most incredible songs I've ever heard in my life!

Goyish? Yes.
Universal and possibly Kosher if used in the proper way? Yes.
Does Benny love this song so much? Yes!

Also wrote a song of my own, inspired (or shall I say uninspired) by the turn of events in India... Here are several of the lyrics:
"Oh Rebbe Show me, tell me why
Your Shluchim, so given over needed to die.
Their blood – Our wounds heal and mend
Please Rebbe, make it end."

I have the song and it's ready. I need to find somewhere to record it now.
Help!

WHY?! WHY?! WHY?!

Mumbai - Outrage. Anger. Pain. Tears.
No words.
What can we even say?
How can we fathom a two-year-old who won’t see Ima again ad ki yavo Shilo?
How can we comprehend two ehrliche mashgichim catching a simple maariv on business who will never come home?
And how can we even begin to understand the loss of the kedoshim, Rabbi and Rebbetzin Gavriel and Rivkah Holtzberg, who lost their own lives after a holy career of giving of their own lives? And before 30?
Ribbono shel Olam…
Today, we are all Toldos Avrahom Yitzchok Chasidim. Today, we are all Israeli. Today, we are all Chabad. No distinctions. Just Jews.
Perhaps an even bigger tragedy is that it took this tragedy to bring us together.
We might not know what to say. But now we know what to do. Stick together.
Because there was a little house, in a corner of the world most of us never heard of, where Ahavas Yisroel lived.
Now, that Ahavas Yisroel lives on. In our houses. In our hearts. It must. The victims would have it no other way.
What to do? Carry on.
Advertisement:
Because if we become afraid, they won. If we are crushed, they won. If we remain depressed, they won. If we let this destroy our lives, they won.
If we do the opposite, we win. And they lose.
So let’s win. Let’s continue. Let’s march forward. Let’s continue doing everything we always did.
But let’s do more than that. Let’s give more tzedakah. Let’s learn more Torah. Let’s be more tolerant, less dismissive, of each other.
Let’s fight darkness with light.
We did it for the past two days. We can, we must, continue.
Above all, let us not be afraid. Let us hold our heads high. Let us walk the streets victorious. We are Jews. We are one. We are proud. And they can never destroy us.
They have death. We have life. They await the Gates of Hell. We embrace the gifts of Heaven.
They have Al Qaeda. We have “al tira.”
Forward! March!
...
The above is an article I took from the popular website www.vosizneias.com right after Nariman house was cleared!
"Nariman House Cleared!" I saw written on ibnlive. 'Cleared' in my mind meant that the Shliach and the Rebbetzin... Two holy souls who dedicated their entire lives to spreading light and goodness in the world, are crossing the Chabad House threshold alive and well, proudly proclaiming to the world the victory of a nightmarish 48 hours of terror.
But cleared on the Indian television meant that the building had no more terrorists left... Unfortunately my hopes were not to be - I know I should never write this ever. It undermines my extent of Bitachon. But frankly, I don't care right now. I am so upset -:
- My hopes, that the Rebbe would take care of his dedicated Shluchim and keep them alive throughout this ordeal were not to Be.
- My hopes that Rabbi Holtzberg would be the keynote speaker at the next Kinnus Hashluchim, inspiring all with his story of Mesiras Nefesh during the seige and how the Rebbe was there for him were not to be.
- My hopes that 2 year old Moshe Holtzberg would be able to see his parents again were not to be.
- My hopes of a miracle (A miracle on my terms) were not to be.
...
Instead, the sickening nature of the world takes over and I sit here by my computer in New York city crying.
I don't even know this Shliach and the Shlucha!! But I'm crying nonetheless. Really crying!! I love them both. I love them so much!!!! I wish I would have known them better!!! I wish I would have been able to jump in front of the bullets when they were being aimed at these angels!!!! I would die to be able to ensure these pure people live on and continue inspiring and shining...(Perhaps it's just false emotions... Again, I don't care right now!!!)
...
Indians! Indians!!!! This Indian nanny is my hero. I want to meet her and tell her how much she will continue to inspire me every moment of every day forever!
Now, more than ever. I want to be a Shliach of the Rebbe. It makes no sense. I want to go out and spread a thousand times more light than anyone could ever do, because I am so proud to be a Chossid.
Why am I crying uncontrolably??
2 days of buildup and then this!!
I have so much anger right now. Questions to Hashem. Questions to the Rebbe. I won't write them down, because I will look like a heretic if I do.
Dare I say, I'm so upset at Hashem and the Rebbe right now... But I love them so much. I want to go out on Shlichus so badly right now!!! I want to go out and be a proud Shliach of the Rebbe to the whole world!!
Merkos! Rebbe! Hashem! Give me something! Give me a torch!! Let me do it!
I will go and write a song for this...
Good Shabbos hearty blog.

Awesome song... Very controversial!

Thursday, November 20, 2008

Oooh! I almost forgot...

I was leafing through old notes that I had when I was in yeshiva and I came across an awesome joke that I apparently made up some years ago. I couldn't even remember making it. But here goes...

Q: How many Serafim and Ofanim does it take to change a lightbulb?
A: None, they all have Ohr Ein Sof already!

Parshas Chayei Soreh!

Here are the thoughts on this weeks Parsha which I consider to be pertinent to life nowadays.

Avraham had a son. Yitzchok was his son. Yizchok was holy. So holy was he, that Hashem forbade him to ever leave the holy ground of Eretz Yisroel. When the time came for Yitzchok to marry and begin a building a nation, Avraham commanded his servant Eliezer to leave Eretz Yisroel and travel to distant lands in order to find the wife of Yiztchok.
Eliezer goes to the well, makes the famous sign and find Yitzchok's wife, Rivkah.

The "Living with the times" which I took out of it today was as follows:
In life nowadays, every single Jew is a slave to his master. We are all 'Eliezer's'! Slaves to our masters. While our masters are too holy to leave their ground, they command us to go to 'distant lands', leaving the holy ground of our communities in order to connect a jew far away with our master.
Here goes the metaphor:
We are Eliezer.
The Rebbe is our Yitzchok.
Any Jew outside the holy grounds is considered as the Rivkah's.

Our mission is to go out of the Eretz Yisroel, head into the low worlds and find the "rose amongst the thorns." Finding those pure souls entrapped inside of a physical body, surrounded by lowly, worldy creatures. We need to take them back with us and fuse them with Yitzchok. Connect them with the Rebbe.
Even though we may find hardships in our paths, we still need to believe and hold steadfast to the job at hand. Hashem will surely answer our prayers for success in our Shlichus'im.

-------

Looking around 770 this morning at Shacharis, I saw an increase in activity there. Yes! The Kinnus has begun. It officially kicks off tomorrow. But Shluchim already started pouring in late last night and today.
Though it was a pleasure to see and experience 'normal', good smelling people flooding into 770. It did make me extremely jealous. I was so jealous of these Shluchim. I don't know if they come and try to intimidate all the people who are still stuck in CH for whatever reason it may be. But the jealousy was definitely very felt inside me. I want to be a Shliach. I want to be able to touch people like they do on a daily basis. They are the elite of the elite in Lubavich and that's so incredible.
A doctor?? FEH!
A lawyer?? FEH!
A designer?? Architecht?? Construction worker?? FEH!!

I want to do the most incredible and important work the world has. I wish I can noe day go out and join the ranks of these noble human angels.

One day...

Soon...

I also saw someone in 770 today wearing glasses, but he also had those strings attached to them. You know, the ones that go around the neck just in case the glasses were to fall of his nose, they wouldn't hit the floor and break.
I don't remember when the last time was that I actually saw such a thing. I don't even think they sell them anymore!!

Kinnus Hashluchim is always so inspiring. Even the average Crown Heights resident anticipates and looks forward for the Kinnus to come. It's the time of year where he can be proud that he is associated with these elite soldiers, who go out and literally make the world into a better place to live in.

Incredible.

Awesome song by Moshe Hecht!

The trouble with the world.

Kovi's top teeth coming in.

Note: The heading has absolutely nothing to do with the actual post being posted on this post'able blog.

To forever remember... So that I never forget, because it will always be in my memory and thus I will always recall.

With a million Bli Ayin Harah's and three billion Kein Ayin Harah's, I will now attempt to analyze and put to paper (or blog) the feelings within me when I look at my beautiful son KA"H.

His mushy cheecks every time I kush them.
His smile when he sees me.
His humungus, bright eyes that seem to glow even at night.
His curiosity in everything.
The frown he makes just before he's about to cry.
His cry.
Holding him high in the air by one hand and watching him cautiously smile. It's as if he's sort of scared, but he still manages to smile, knowing that his Tatty would never ever let go of him.
Holding him and feeling him get as comfortable as possibe inside my cradling arms.

These are the warmest and most incredible feelings I've ever had in my entire life. Looking down at a child who looks up at you and smiles... And you know that he's yours. All yours - It's almost surreal... The realities of life so dramatically change after your child is born into the world. YOUR CHILD! Yes, it comes with the 'never again sleeping a normal night' side effect. Also the 'Kvetchy time' side effect. But the afforementioned goodness that it brings make the life infinitly more worth it.

Baruch Hashem that I have been given this life. With all the challenges that are hurdled at me every single day, I still know somewhere deep down that I could not have had it any better (Other than Moshiach now MAMOSH!). For all that, I am eternally grateful.

I was thinking... The beauty of having something that's yours, but ultimately you have no control over it. Other than a child, there is nothing in the world that can be yours and you cannot determine it's fate.
Obviously, however the child is raised and the environment which it is put into will help mold the future of his character and decisions. But in reality, he is a human being. He is another human who has been given free will. Free will to do what he chooses. He can choose "goodness and life" or Ch'V "Evil and death." We try to bring them up guiding them on the path of "goodness and life," but they have the ultimate choice, which is so amazing. He's mine, yet he's so not mine!

Only the power of "Atzmus" can create such a concept. Two opposites intertwined one into the other.

I'm a Tatty!

Just a funny picture I thought worth mention here on this blog

Adar is coming. Marbim B'Simcha. This one is for Israel... My good friend Israel.

Thought and other Kaka Pishee!

So, this morning some thoughts came into my mind.
'Thought' over here, refers to combination's of spiritual letters forming themselves in my brain. The thing is, these ultra sensitive and spiritually refined letters came together and combined to make the weirdest and most insane ideas come to light within the bowels of the mushy matter in my cerebrum called my brain. So here are some of them.

1. I was Davvening in 770 this morning, when I thought about what people might say if one of the beggars in 770 were to die...
"He was such a good beggar"
"Such a nice man. Always took so much money from people."
"He was never happy with the 25 cents people would throw to him. He always demanded more and more from people!"... Are some of the praises that just may be showered upon him.
Other thoughts included a casket with a money insert slot... Like a gigantic Pushka.

...

But while I was thinking about all this, (I think I was up to Shma Koleinu by this thought...) the realization dawned on me that beggars in 770 will never ever die. In fact, most of the beggars in 770 have looked the same for the past 20 years. I know this one beggar who has solid white hair. He's probably in his 70's. I would say his been 75 years old since the end of the first world war. He never ages. He's always smiling. He never speaks a word more of Yiddish than he did ten years ago (Zei Gebentsht) and I don't think he'll ever leave. He is an immortal 770 beggar.

And then the thought came into my mind with regard to a certain "Messianic" Jew who always plays the flute after Davvening in 770. While the Tzfatim dance their "Yechi Tantz", this juicy Chabad'nik stands and plays his flute with them. The problem is, he's been playing that flute for about 12 years now. I don't think he's gotten the slightest bit better since the first day he tried playing with everyone. He's still just as off tune and off beat as he's always been. You'd think that after 12 years a person would eventually either get better at the instrument they play or they'd just give up on the darn thing. But not this DUDE!

...

The last though I had, was the notion and the explanation as to why Observant Jews are so bad at keeping money and saving it up.
It struck me like that... Piggy bank! Saving money is associated with pigs. Being that pigs are non Kosher animals, therefore Observant Jews dissassociate themselves from such ideologies right at the beginning. Hence, we don't save any money and are always broke.

Good night. I will sleep loose (not tight)... eeeew!!

Heiman's bus accident.

My first sing along Siddur

This is 'my first sing along Siddur' which is coming out by the Kinnus. I helped record some of the songs. That's all.

Thoughts and what not.

I actually had some really cool things that I wanted to update on over Shabbos. But knowing me, I forgot most of them.

But here is something I just thought about this morning: We know the Klal that everything that happens in physical is a direct effect from what's occurring in the spiritual realms. Having established that, the concept of 'global warming' must have some sort of Messianic indication to us in its spiritual manifestations.
The coldness of the earth is melting. Warmth is beginning to spread around the entire world and the world is in a frenzy about it. Waters, frozen over centuries are beginning to melt and our entire earth will be submerged in these waters. hmmmm. The world is panicking when the earth will be filled... as water covers the sea... Where have I heard these words before??

Oh yes! - Umol'oh Ho'oretz Deiah Es Hashem, Kamayim Layom Mechasim! The cold, freezing iceberg feelings of exile are melting away. They are giving room to warmth. They area allowing the waters of the Torah and G-dly knowledge to flow forth and cover us inside them.
Moshiach is coming and the world is in a deathly panic. They do not know how to react to this sudden change, so they scream out. The thought of the world running on a different track is scary for the mind which does not expect and anticipate this change of pace.
But we are ready. Those who learn Chassidus and listen to the Rebbe's call to make this world ready for Moshiach can comfortably sit and watch this change unfold.

Change is coming. YES WE CAN!!!

...

In other news, I am posting a video which I just uploaded. It was taken on Motzaei Shabbos Shuva, when we jammed after Havdallah. I pulled out the guitar. Yossi Rodal played on the bongos and Shaul played... Well... He played the Shofar. It actually sounds pretty nice.

Not racist or anything.

I am not racist. I think 'Shvartzes' (which is not a racist term in any way. It's the same as saying 'black'. Just in Yiddish) are very warmhearted people. I love the way they act between each other. As if they're one family.
But I do not like the president. I think that the radio hosts are making too big a deal over him and are just blabbering away about worst case scenario's. But I still agree with them that he is not a proper president and I don't know if he ever will be.

Sonia said that the movie 'planet of the apes' is coming into play now. That comment came after 11pm on election day, when all we heard was screaming, glass shattering and explosions coming from outside on the streets, while the 'Shvartzes' celebrated the victory of their 'Messiah-hero', Barack Hussein Obama becoming the 44th president of the United States.

Aaaaaannnyyways. We have awesome internet here in the dining room. Catching wireless.

It's going to be Shabbos tonight and we're not that ready for it. I am planning on making a Chanukas Habayis one of these days as well. Perhaps next week Thursday night.

Hmmmm...

Good Shabbos to all.

In other Kovi news... He is Kvetching right now from his crib in the other room. He doesn't want to sleep, but we force him too. My wife got this tip from some book or other, about putting a baby to sleep every hour and a half when he's real young, and every three hours when he gets a but older. We just started with Kovi. He's holding by the 'every three hours' stage and it's Mamosh working wonders.
He falls asleep easier. When he's awake, he's more happy and responsive. I absolutely love him. He's also cute as anything, so who can ask for more??

Will hopefully take more video's of him, so I'll be able to post more video's of him on the blog as well.

Good Shabbos again.

Awesome line from my wife's prime minister.

We need the Messiah... The 'real' Messiah!

Obama winning the elections tonight is not news of redemption for the American people. It is horribly disturbing news.
I am here in my apartment, locked in the confines of my secure little box and terribly nervous, while outside I can hear the screams from all the obama maniacs who are rejoicing (you know who they are)... Probably shooting innocent people who they think may have voted for McCain.
Beeping.
Screaming.
Exploding sounds (not sure if it's gun shots or fireworks).

This is what welcomes history. The worst four years that America will have ever experienced... Or am I listening to Hannity, Limbaugh and all those other radio commentators too much? Perhaps it won't be so bad after all.

I don't know. But not in any racial manner, I'm honestly terrified to live in a country with such an insanely radical retard as the president. A person who has no mind of his own. Yeeeuuccchh!!!

I'm done!
Good night.

We're famous... again!

YAY! Again, the media tries to secretly encode us to make us secretly famous for the world to know. They did it this time by way of crownheights.info putting up this news breaking story.

The picture above is our front door. The Mezuzah was stolen from it on Sunday morning. I noticed it on Sunday afternoon, but thought that perhaps it somehow just fell down and the superintendent cleaned it up unknowingly. I was obviously upset about it, but vowed to better secure it to the door next time.
About ten minutes later, the cops knocked on my door and I realized that it was a bit more serious than that.

I hope it gets found. But probably not. I don't know if I should put up another Mezuzah or not... Obviously yes. Just asking a stupid question.

Election post and I'm not bored.

I'm not bored, because I'm busy posting on the blog. I guess it makes sense. Perhaps I post on the blog, because otherwise I'd be sitting around bored.

Various random updates on life before I get down to the 'nitty gritty'.

- Clocks were changed last night.
- I woke up at 6:30am new time, because I was sick and tired of sleeping. Weird. Maybe I'm getting old. And so, with nothing else to do here in New York as the sun rises, I post on this blog.
- Canadiens had their most incredible game so far of the season last night. They were down 4-1 going into the third period with the Islanders all over them. We all thought the game was over. But an incredible third period made the games result 5-4 Canadiens. We won and I watched it online again.
- I need to speak with Rabbi Rapaport from Oholei Torah about starting this teching job already. I should give the sample lesson tomorrow probably. But now I'm having doubts about taking this job altogether. I don't know.
- Kovi is 'kein ayin hora' the most adorable baby in the entire universe. I love him to pieces.
- Friday night, we had 9 people around our table. It was beautiful. Meir Rodal entertained us all. Another one of my cousins mentioned to me how they were searching 'rodal' on youtube and they came across my Hershcovich report. I was slightly embarrassed. But what can you do?? (feel sorry!)
- I noticed how blogs are so old fashioned already... I was thinking about it. Our parents are old fashioned... Because they used to write with typewriters and play tiddly winks all day. Now we're the ones who will be old fashioned for our kids, because we still blog on the internet (eeeuuuuww).
- Upset at society nowadays. I saw a Shvartze walking down the street alone and talking. But I wasn't sure if he was on drugs and talking to himself, or if he was on a bluetooth phone conversation. Which made me upset at the world we live in. How can a Shvartzeh get a way with such a thing??!!

And on to better things...

Obama or McCain?
Biden or Palin?
As if this hasn't been discussed yet and any input I give with make the issue any better...

Here's the Hishtalshelus in my opinion: Hannity, Limbaugh, Levin, Grant, Ingraham, Savage and Sliwa are all against Obama. I guess if I were voting for him, I'd be considered an idiot by them... Since the radio stations chose those people to be their personalities, it must be that they are very inteligent and understand the situation properly to be able to have such an opinion publicly. oib Azoi, I'm going to follow their opinion, cause if I don't, then I'm probably the dumb one.

That's sort of true.
The fact is, that I can't even vote. I'm Canadian. But the American elections are definitely fun. It's a bunch of grown men (and a woman) with suits and ties calling each other 'Kaka pishy's' on television.

That's my input on these elections. Otherwise, it's all been said already.

Happy Malx?
